That’s an interesting point you raise Jordan. It does have its merits. I have been in this situation myself a few times.
From spening time with those people, as you say, I was able to identify qualities in them that I didn’t like and worked to avoid adopting them. It was also good to get a different viewpoint as well.
It certainly has its merits, but if you spent too much time with these people, it could backfire I feel.
