Yep, the freedom from and freedom to point is a good one. I think this is the point most lockdown sceptics and freedom advocates miss.
Lockdowns worked in NZ and other countries because people realised if done right, they'd get their freedoms back at the end with a reduced chance of further lockdowns. See NZ and Vietnam, although they've struggled recently.
Here in the UK, we went through multiple lockdowns which weren't inevitable because the government was too slow to act and probably didn't take the virus seriously enough, thinking it would eventually go away.
By doing so, not only was our freedom to restricted, so was our freedom from. So we got the worst of both worlds, despite the protestations of the freedom to crowd.
